Profile, Statistics and Indicators
Neighborhood Description: The Burke Heights Neighborhood is a quiet, out-of-the-way small area of the City which is very proud of how long many of the residents have lived here. The neighbors all care a lot about one another. The focal point of our neighborhood is our neighborhood park which we are trying to improve all the time; you can find children playing in it daily. Because we are by the highway, we are very convenient to many areas. Houses sell very quickly because of the well-kept appearance of the neighborhood and the proximity to Highway 30.
Neighborhood Boundaries: Sycamore Avenue on the north, Pulley Drive, Sycamore Park, and Thompson Road on the east, Commercial Avenue on the south, Stoughton Road and Soo Line Railroad on the west and northwest
Neighborhood Statistics Indicators: The Neighborhood Indicators Project is a demonstration of key characteristics and various indicators that relate to the quality of life in Madison at the neighborhood level. Basic neighborhood information as well as housing, public safety, health and family well-being, economic, and transportation indicators by neighborhood is available.
Neighborhood Events: Garage Sale (June), Annual Block Party
