Neighborhood Description: North Lake Mendota Neighborhood is nestled between Lake Mendota, Cherokee Marsh, and State of Wisconsin lands. The single-family residential neighborhood was built up in the 1990s. Lakefront homes are located on the western edge of the neighborhood. Contemporary ranch and split level homes are located along the quiet interior residential streets. Meadow Ridge Park, a 28-acre prairie and woodland area, is only one of the natural resources at the finger tips of residents. Cherokee Marsh to the north and State of Wisconsin Mental Health Hospital to the south provide vast acreage of open space and natural beauty. Watching the sunset at Farwell's Point and Governor's Island on the shores of Lake Mendota is a great pleasure to do with neighbors.
