Profile, Statistics and Indicators
Neighborhood Description: The Westchester Gardens Neighborhood is a residential subdivision of approximately 300 detached, single family homes. We have easy access to East Washington Avenue (Highway 151) and to Stoughton Road (Highway 51). Dane County International Airport, East Towne Mall, and Madison Area Technical College are a stone throw away. Sandburg Elementary School is located within our neighborhood. Our children have the benefit of walking to primary school. Next to Sandburg School is an extensive public wooded area that brings a lot of fun to our urban explorers. Reindahl Park, a large community park, is located directly southwest of our residential area. Community gardens, cricket field, tennis courts, and a host of other park features serve our recreational needs. Westchester Gardens is a suburban neighborhood with a truly country feel.
Neighborhood Boundaries: City limits on the north, Portage Road on the east, East Washington Avenue on the south, North Stoughton Road on the west
Neighborhood Statistics Indicators: The Neighborhood Indicators Project is a demonstration of key characteristics and various indicators that relate to the quality of life in Madison at the neighborhood level. Basic neighborhood information as well as housing, public safety, health and family well-being, economic, and transportation indicators by neighborhood is available.
